Cloudy Day - Quick Art

My Art teacher said to sketch quickly.
On the way to the mall, daughter driving, I quickly (10 min) made a sketch of the clouds and added a house and tree.  It's suppose to be just a quick sketch for practice.
At least it is recognizable.

I used FaberCastell DESIGN EBONY Jet Black extra smooth pencil #6325 and Prismacolor pencils. The Drawing paper is Strathmore medium 6" x 8"

Fun to go fast, but don't know what's going to be coming out. . .the other suggestion is to sit in front of the tv and just keep drawing really fast.  YIKES, don't watch much TV, but that is FAST! I'll have to try it.

Be sure and visit other Paint Party Friday artists. There are so many different collages, journals, and great art.

Blessings,
Janet

  4. So cute! I especially love those clouds...really dramatic. I need to take another class. They always make you do "outside the box" stuff that helps one grow! xoxo

  6. I like this. It's not easy sketching while in the car. The clouds look happy circling the little house. Nice job.

  9. Hi Janet! I woke up this morning and read some of the comments from PPF ladies on my blog from yesterday, and yours was so kind and so touching. Thank you, you just made me smile today! When I clicked on your name and saw your face I said "I've seen that face before" and realized that I've been to your blog many times and love your art, especially the houses! Thank you for making my morning!

  11. You learn so much drawing, but it is very difficult to capture a moment in a few strokes. Saludos

  13. Hi Janet
Great for a 10 min piece. I love drawing on public transport - the lines become squiggly, and everything becomes a bit wonky. Haha, if the drawing turns out ok - great, if not, blame it on the moving tram.

I am not very fast, unless it's something I have drawn before. But I do love to draw in front of the TV but not the things that come up on the screen - that's way too fast!

P/s thanks for connecting via DottedSquare.com page :).
