Girl in Looking Glass. . .Pawnee Bills Museum, Buffalo and Longhorns

Girl in Looking Glass
I took another drawing I had done some time ago and used Prismacolor pencil and Pastels to color the room and the girl in the mirror.

Thank you Eva and Kristin for the Paint Party Friday we all attend and visit each other. So many times I have not made it all the way through the list. One of the reasons is the pictures below.

Four of us ladies in the complex go looking a places some of us have never been or are revisiting. As the newcomer to OK, it is all new to me and I appreciate the time and effort of showing me so many parts of OK. Pawnee Bill was a Rodeo man and has a wonderful history.

Pawnee Bill, born Gordon William Lillie, was an American showman and performer who specialized in Wild West shows and was known for his short partnership with Buffalo Bill. Wikipedia
Died: February 3, 1942, Pawnee, OK

I just learned that he was born in Bloomington, IL which is a twin city of Normal, IL where I was born.  He died in Pawnee, OK the same state I now live. Many incredible coincidences. Please do read about him. Most interesting life and to see the place in person was a real Joy.

They have Buffalo and just added a new baby.
Buffalo happens to be my favorite animal since
I learned about them in grade school.
The Sky was light and dark all day. . beautiful.
 Another Buffalo close up.
 They also had Longhorns.
Here is a field of them.
 Looking out over the land.
 More clouds.
The house they built after the Log House (below)

the Plaque.
 The Log house
Where the Rodeo is held.  .
 . . .looks fantastic.
 Blessings,
Janet

  2. Your girl in the mirror is such a nice drawing, Janet. And your photography of the sky is gorgeous. Strange how it can be dark on one side of the house and light on the other at times. Not a fan of buffalos, but I am glad they have a friend in you!
