Another Owl and Owlet

I love to crochet these little creatures.  I love to watch them on the Internet too.  I found that they eat different kinds of foods in the UK than they do here. I don't know if it is because of the scarcity of the food or if they have never tried it.  I will look for the link to the FAQ.  Enjoy.  Blessings, Janet

Across the Street

I decided to give my imagination another go round.  This is a picture of across from the yellow cottage. They have their garden in and it is producing tomatoes, herbs and flowers.  Since I don't have my cottage yet, I have to go into the market and purchase my fresh veggies, fruits and herbs.  Blessings, Janet

Baby Owlet for Mom

I love to experiment and make new patterns.  I made the great-horned owl and now she has a baby owlet.  The owlet would have fuzzies if it was a new baby, so this is an older chick.  I do almost have a barn/barred owlet completed.  The baby still has work to be done on it.  Meantime back to FUN!  Blessings, Janet

A Big Thank you for a Thoughtful Gift

Everyone knows I live in paradise, that I like (my home birds) Flamingos, and that I'm a happy gal.  My Best girlfriend since 3rd grade, Jeanine, saw a Flamingo while she was out running errands and thought of me.  Look at that face, those eyes, OK, I see a bit of devilment there - I think she's going to be into everything, but that's OK, she's beautiful, and cute, and cuddly.  I'll keep her.  Thanks so much Jeanine, you are a shining example and a champion in my life. Thank you for always, always being there for me.
Many Blessings,
Janet

Yellow Cottage

I am still looking for my yellow cottage.  I definitely need a porch swing and an orchid would be nice. The scarf is for my hair - there is always a breeze by the water.  Blessings, Janet

New Great Horned Owl

My newest creation.  .  . guess I will have to work on her owlets. This has been a fun project. She is a Great Horned owl. Her tufts or feathers are where the ears are located. They assist in camouflaging the owl or in the open field silently being able to communicate with each other or to let their families know where they are.  They can be raised up or down depending on these circumstances. When in a tree the color of their ears and their concealment posture blends them in with the tree bark making them almost impossible to identify.  Blessings, Janet

Happy Canada Day

Our friends in Canada, Happy Canada Day.
The NPBC-ASG shop hop went well yesterday. They loved the crocheted Sunflower badges I made. The stores and customers noted them and were impressed with the idea of the camaraderie of it.  That and when we went into a restaurant, we told them, whomever has a flower, they belong to our table, as one by one they straggled back to eat lunch.  The sky looked threatening, but we were blessed with a great day and a good shopping trip.  I love being with the ladies and discovering new things and places. Blessings, Janet
