More Zentangle
I am still playing around with Zentangle. I seem to remember a time with the Moon and the Star was an important decor at one time.
Please visit our wonderful artists at Paint Party Friday. They are so very talented in so many areas of art. They all love what they do and passing their creativity on to others is a big part of that. There are videos and others give step-by-step instructions. Thank you Eva and Kristin for hosting this fun learning experience.
Blessings,
Janet

Zentangle Art
I thought I would try something new. I tried to make a dress out of Zentangle, it didn't turn out so well. However, the Doll did. I think I will do more for practice. I did enjoy it, but it's not as easy as it looks.
Blessings,
Janet
I used pencil with a touch of a Pitt Pen green.

Kiddie Car
Once upon a time, there was a little girl with curls who had a kiddie Car. . . she drove it and drove it. She came upon some flowers and wanted to bring one home to her mum. So, she stopped, got out, took her little kitty with her and admired the mountains, the tree and the flowers. She pick only one to bring home to her mum.
Blessings for Kristin and Eva for the great every Friday Paint Party that they put on for all of us to share our work. Happy Paint Party Friday. Please visit the other artists who work so hard each day in and day out and share their tools, the learning, and their works with us.
I used pastels, prismacolor pens and pencils.
Blessings,
Janet

Collage for Journal Week 9 plus a peek at Week 8
For week 9 of My Life Documented Journal, we had to add a collage of things we have collected. I put a coat of pastel on the page and then framed it with selvedges from all kinds of fabric. Material I had used for pillows, cloth doll dresses and, of course sewing machine needle and threads. I have an Irish clover, moon and stars. Also, Panera, Starbucks, Hoffman's, Pink Bunny, Dark Chocolate, the Irish, NBA and Made in America, plus the Eiffel Tower are represented. Alexander Henry is one of my favorite designers. It was fun finding all those things I had collected. . . .
I used Gingerbread girl and boy stamps, and a stamp for cheese and wine. Then I doodled heart cookies, brownies and a salad.
The recipe is for Mint Chocolate Chip cookies.
This is a fun project.
Thank you Eva and Kristin for making each week a learning/teaching experience and so very much fun. Visit all the artists for Paint Party Friday and see all the differences we bring to the art world.
Blessings,
Janet

Experimenting with Pastels, Tombow and stamps
I have so many great stamps and decided to pull out my ink pads and stamps. I used Tombow for coloring and pastel for shading/outline. I love the Tombow pens.
Thank you Kristin and Eva for your continued work to make an artist like me able to show her work, to visit other artist sites to learn more about the supplies and how to use them and to feel so welcome here. Happy Paint Party Friday.
Blessings,
Janet

Changes in Ocean scene and New Journal page
Paint Party Friday is a fun place to play and visit. Each artist has something to show and teach. The videos are so informative. Be sure to visit as many artists as you can each week. Thank you Kristin and Eva for hosting and being so much a part of our fun, learning and teaching experiences.
I added pebbles and a birds.
I used pastels on most of the picture. The bird is drawn with Prismacolor black pen .005 and prismacolor pencils.
I appreciated the comments and suggestions. I think this looks much better. My seagull now has a mate. If you follow my other blog, you will see some of the different birds I've been photographing. They are new to the canal I walk to every day.
We had to use a symbol over and over. Those hearts represent the number of years I've been dreaming, hoping and looking for the yellow cottage. I used pastels and prismacolor pencils. I only drew part of the house.
Picture is from Tammy Northrup's blog, My Flower Journal and it is a picture of a cottage at Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Pastel Ocean Scene
Thanks so much Eva and Kristin for Paint Party Friday each week. All the artists are so varied in their works and creativity. A Visit to each one is unique in their teaching, experience and learn how to use different products and paints.
I have experimented with pastels, glue and a paper cut out for clouds and waves. I also used gel pen, prismacolor pencils and pens. Not sure if I need to add something else. . .perhaps a sea gull and a shell?
Blessings,
Janet
