My Art this week.
I've been watching Jerry Yarnell a lot. . I decided to try some of his techniques. This is what I call 'Practicing' . . .I used watercolor paints, then I added pastel (chalk) and went over that with water. It worked fantastically. I was amazed. Hadn't thought of doing that. Then I added sand to the beach.Thank you Kristin and Eva for a way to receive feedback and to show what we can do with different paint supplies. There are so many many artists on this website that we can learn from and the feedback is so helpful. Take a look at the artists at Paint Party Friday. Thank you.

Everything here is new to me.
Clouds were mixed and sometimes the output was water.

The courtyard is so beautiful here.

Fabulous painting. I really like this technique, it turned out very well. Wonderful photos too.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to play and experiment with new and different art supplies. I will never tire of doing so myself! Your "practicing" is paying off big time! The scene you painted drew me right in.

what a wonderful sunset, and the photos are just super inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHope you survived the earthquake with no damage. I don't see my comment I left last night so maybe you are without power.
ReplyDeleteLoving your painting. It makes me want to be able to go lounge at the beach. Instead of going to work that is. :) You really caught the feel of the beach. Enjoy watching Jerry. Hugs-Erika
