Shading was done way before class was taken.
After classes, this is what was accomplished.
Please see the artists from Paint Party Friday. There are so many talented artists that discuss their work and their procedures. . . . well worth the visit.
Blessings,
Janet
Lovely work today, beautiful detailed shading.
ReplyDeleteShading is always a difficult one to get right, you have done a great job! HPPF
ReplyDeleteShading practice is also something I need to do. Your work is really nice, I especially loved the last one. HPPF!
ReplyDeleteThe shading is very good. I don't know how to shade, I just dab this and dab that.:) Someday I too will learn. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI always find shading fascinating - something I never really noticed until I took up art.
ReplyDeleteNice job.
Happy PPF Janet!
ReplyDeletefine pieces .. and great that you have the patience to practics shading.. think this is essential!
It would be good for me to practice more drawing ..but it´s so boring for me.. because all I really love is COLOR....
I found a nice teacher on you tube...
Shoe Rayner..
with him I had a little bit more fun practicing drawing as with my books for selfteaching..
Good work, practice makes perfect! Valerie
ReplyDeleteGreat shadings - my favorite is the first - looks effortless and natural!
ReplyDeleteShading is so important and it can prevent a lot of frustration once you learn it. You'll be glad you spent this time on learning it. Good job!
ReplyDeletegreat shading, you are very patient. Happy PPF, Annette xx
ReplyDeletethrilled to see your work grow and improve... great tonal work... there is something so relaxing about doing shading isn't there...xx
ReplyDeleteI like all three sketches, but my favorite is the still life with the bottle. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketches ~ great design ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteShading is so hard and Important.. good job here. Keep up the good work. HPPF
ReplyDeleteJanet, your shading looks great. It really makes all the difference in the world, I've learned. My husband used to complain that I had no lights or darks. So I started to put more shading than I thought it needed. I'm still learning too.
ReplyDeleteI love how you did the shading on that first vase. Shading is difficult, but it makes such a big difference to a piece! Well done!
ReplyDeleteHi Janet. My name is Karen and I found your lovely blog through Arnoldo Romero. I have looked through your blog posts, and I really love your style of drawing. I am not an "artist" but far more of a "crafter" but I so admire those (like you) who can truly draw. I just wanted to introduce myself, say hello, and invite you to share your wonderful art with us in our challenges at Word Art Wednesday. We are a Christian challenge blog and our challenges are always Anything Goes. We encourage people to simply create the art that God lays on their hearts to create. We know that all gifts/talents come from God, and therefore, all art is beautiful because it is from Him. I really hope that you will share with us in our challenges. It would be such a blessing to have you fellowship and share with us. Have a blessed week, and I do hope to see you soon!
