Pastels and Pencils: Log Cabin, Duck Pond and Mountains

I thought about Bob Ross paintings in doing my art this week.  However, I used Pastels and Prismacolor Pencils instead of Oils.  This was fun to try through a different medium.

Thank you Kristen and Eva for the opportunity to show and tell our art work on Paint Party Friday. A fantastic place to see different artists, tools, paints and how they accomplish so much.

I've been missing a couple of weeks. Busy with my writing and photography.

Blessings,
Janet

Puffin

Puffins are on the west coast (Oregon) and the east coast (Maine). Prismacolor pencil, Pen, gel pen and Pastels.

Thank you Kristin and Eva for the wonderful fun times at Paint Party Friday for so many artists.

I have not seen a Puffin in person yet. But I love the little darlings.

These past few years, the population of Atlantic puffins has continued decreasing, reaching dramatic cotes (more than 30% of them have disappeared).  Scary. . I would hate to lose them.

Cowboy checking out his Bull

This is my new ACEO card.
PBR finals are all week ending Sunday afternoon on CBS-Sports.  The cowboys are riding and the bulls are rank.  He has hat, chaps, vest, shirt, jeans and boots.

Pastels, Prismacolor pencils and gel pens. This has been a fun genre for me. I enjoy watching the cowboys ride that 8 seconds. The bulls are gorgeous and they know what to do. Pretty smart.

Thank you Eva and Kristin for a wonderful place to be part of all the creativity and artists each Paint Party Friday.

I would love to have celebrated my birthday in Las Vegas for the PBR party. Check the schedule for the rest of the week if you are interested.

Blessings,
Janet

Bull-Rider with a Gold Buckle

I watch a lot of bull-riding on PBR, Championship Bull Riding and RODEO. The fellas are pretty young, very talented, having fun, and winning Gold Buckles. The PBR wraps up 2015 next weekend. Usually CBSSports carries both the bull-riding and Rodeo.

I used Prismacolor and Watercolor pencils.

Thank you Eva and Kristin for Paint Party Friday every week where we can show off our creativity and help others by visiting and learning from the best. Be sure to visit the artists.

I am still feeling the effects of the cold. I will try to visit and comment. I appreciate all the comments that I receive. It keeps the joints oiled and the head in 'creativity' mode. Thank you.

#23 for September is Wish/Wishful.  As you all know, I am still looking for my yellow cottage. So that I can have a garden of veggies, herbs and flower. The cottage will be by the water and as you can see there are birds everywhere.  The picture at the bottom was clipped from an old calendar.

I used watercolor pencil, Pitt pens, and pan pastels.

September Promt #8 . . .Head Wear

I just joined the September Painting every day with prompts for each day.  I am way behind and will catch up.  I began with prompt #8 which is Head Wear.  I have a glitter crown, a Fastenator with a furry yarn design, Crochet hat and a hat with a feather and a bird on top.  I used Rainbow tape on 2 sides.  All four gals are different as are their hats.

I used pastels and Prismacolor pencils.  I had fun drawing the hats as at one time I wanted to be a fashion designer.

Thank you Kristin and Eva for a fun Paint Party Friday every week. Be sure and visit all the unique and creative artists to see and learn (videos and/or instructions are sometimes included).

Total Bull

I love the Bulls, the Bull Riders and all the Rodeo's. Fun to watch each rider stay on the bulls 8 seconds. That seems like the longest 8 seconds in history.

I used Prismacolor pencils and pastels to give him "The Look."  They are beautiful animals.

Thank you Eva and Kristin for a place to show off our art and help others to learn what and how to draw/paint on Paint Party Friday.

Blessings,
Janet

I used Prismacolor pencils and pastels. I've had her drawn for awhile, just hadn't added color. I did make cloth witch dolls a few years ago and those were fun. All their different personalities.

Cowgirl Time

My favorites of all time is Bull-riding and Rodeos. . . the picture is from the time  I worked at the Illinois State University auditorium and we had one of the Western singers come to town. We all dressed up like cowboys and girls and had a grand old time.  Those were fun times. I was also attending the University and received my BS degree in History and a minor degree in Women's Studies.  Those really were the days.

Thank you Eva and Kristin for allowing all of us artists a place to show our creativity on Paint Party Friday.

Owl in a Tree

About 5 years ago, I use to watch Molly and McGee and their little babies 24/7. I made a lot of online friends which we still gather once a week to watch old "Molly" and her babies movies on Molly Movie Night.  We catch up on what we are all doing, talk about what's going on and reminisce about the good old days.  Some have gone on to be with the Lord as has McGee.  There will be a reunion this summer in Minneapolis with some of the old crowd.  Our leaders will be there Carlos and Donna Royal to celebrate the The Owl Box of San Marcos. The MOD (Molly Obsessive Disorder) Meet up will celebrate the Owl Box. Because it was online, it became Internationally known and watched. It was a wonderful time for us all.

I drew one of the babies. I used pencil and pastels. My contribution for Paint Party Friday. Thank you Eva and Kristin for a party that transcends the usual.  Be sure and visit the varied artists to learn, see and become a part of this wonderful group of talented artists.
Blessings,
Janet
