Acrylics on different Mediums including Cloth Dolls

I tried acrylics on different mediums.
Watercolor paper, ACEO, clouds, rain trees, and brook.
It turned out too dark and not defined enough.
I tried again on another ACEO, need more practice.
I make cloth dolls and I use acrylics for the faces and Faber-Castell Pitt pen/brushes
for the faces and legs. They are far from finished. I wanted to show where I also use my art.

We have all sorts of artists on Paint Party Friday. . . take a look at the many different mediums and videos available at their sites.
Blessings,
Janet

  1. It's good to experiment with different surfaces, with both paintings you have a very loose approach, that's a good thing. Ask yourself 'did you enjoy painting them', usually the answer is Yes. That says it all. Happy PPF.

  7. Sometimes they work well and sometimes they don't and even different kinds of acrylics work differently. I love the craft ones for gelli printing and use the liquids ones for transparency. But you never know sometimes how they will react. Love your sweet doll faces. Happy PPF xox

  8. Janet, the lighter version of the painting appeals to me more, I think. And the faces on your dolls are gorgeous. Faye
