New Blog - James Birney
My girlfriend Suzanne's son has a wonderful food blog site. James lives in Spain and is a chef. Suzanne and her husband owned a restaurant in WPB on Clematis street. She has a fabulous cookbook out. The recipes include foods that are fresh and mixed with different flavors that can be eaten with your diet. The curry dressing (for the chicken salad) can be used on other salads. He has the best advice, for example, eat wild salmon, never farm raised. He's up to the minute on foods. She can be very proud of him. Blessings, Janet

Hope the baby black bear has been found
I have been following the story of Lily (mom) and Hope (4 month old cub) wherein mom wandered off and baby was asleep in the tree. When she came down, she tried to find mom. 5 days she wandered. Mom, in the meantime had come back. Mom has a collar locater on, baby does not. I did not realize just how small a 4 month old black bear is. It is a miracle she lived 5 days. They have been reunited. Many Blessings over this holiday weekend, be safe. Janet

Rainy Season now
We begin our rainy season. The clouds can be interesting, dangerous and beautiful. This is a typical afternoon in Sunny So. FL. We usually have 3 seasons. Hot, hotter, rainy and mild winter. This year we had Cold, colder, warm, hot and rainy. I'll take the first set anytime. Colder is not the reason I moved to So. FL. Blessings, Janet

Cottage by the Water
Ok, guys and gals, I am still looking for that cottage by the water. I have a rough 'crochet' sketch attached. I think about this all the time. . . as you can sea (!). It's time to let me know where it is so I can go see if it's what I need. It is getting late to be putting in a garden but not too late for a puppy. So, Please help. Blessings, Janet

New Rooster Bag
No, it's not for my pet rooster!!
This is my first attempt to make a quilted bag and not only put a top zipper on it, but inside zippered pocket as well. I purchased the material already quilted. The fabric pattern is roosters and a farm scene remembrances of the area I grew up. I used the pattern "Sue's Bag" from Central/West Coast FL chapter of ASG. It is not totally like the bag because, I have never been able to make something that was totally like the picture. However, it makes a great bag. I can tuck my med. small notebook in it and there are plenty of large pockets inside and out . This will be a fun bag to carry. And it happens to match the eyeglass case I made (in anticipation of finishing the bag) last July.
Blessings, Janet

Girls of Summer II
Here is another little beauty waiting for summer. Tia has big green eyes and dragon flies on her dress. She is waiting for a big hug.
We are hold our breathe that the oil slick does Not go around the Keys and up to Palm Beach. That is a prediction we do not want.
In desperate times, our libraries will stay open. . . many of us let our congress know they are needed and they listened.
I saw a mini colt being born today on uStream. . . still watching Molly the Owl and FL Wildlife cams. I do check in on Owlivia & Owliver and their Punks.
Blessings,
Janet
