I am a Stencil Winner. . . .my Yellow Cottage has a Rainbow - Updated with Addition

I was a winner of the Stencil Girl Blog Hop featuring Pam Carriker.  Maria sent it to me. I was so excited. . .it went into my Spam folder and I was late getting back to her.  . . Oh My Gosh gmail . . .what were you thinking???

I can think of many uses for this stencil, but the first thing I saw was a Rainbow. . . . and of course my yellow cottage.  The long-haired dascshund, the garden and flowers. . .

I used the pastels, Prismacolor pencils and pens. The picture is 6x8 inches.

Thanks so much Eva and Kristin for throwing a great Paint Party Friday. The artists are varied and exceptional. Their creativity that they share through video and instruction are fun and a learning experience.  The art varies from journaling to mixed media and explanation of art supplies.

I thought the rainbow should be mushed together more and darker in spots, it wasn't too realistic. I am so glad for the stencil that I originally used because it kept the lines for it. I notice I don't have trees, couldn't figure out if I wanted palms or Elms/Oaks.  We'll see. I just want to find the durn thing and move in.

Blessings,
Janet

It’s not what I have been through in my life that defines who I am. . .It’s how I got through it that has made me who I am today.

  7. Congrats on your win. Love your homey home. I could see myself walking the path to the door. I'd probably open the door and the scent of cookies in the oven. Yum. Nice job.
